Are you interested in exploring a unique ceramic technique in a family friendly setting? Join Ceramic Artist and CR Professor Shannon Sullivan for a workshop that explores dippin combustible objects like dried plants, paper, cardboard, or textiles into paperclay casting slip. Repeated dipping over the course of three (3) sessions builds up a layer of porcelain around the object. The combustible burns out during firing to reveal a translucent shell that's reminiscent of the original, and something entirely new.
This easy to learn technique offers successful results to those with little or no experience working with clay.
This family friendly workshop is open to ages 10 and up.
