College of the Redwoods Adult & Community Education will hold its first ever phlebotomy training course in Del Norte County. This is a great credentialing course for anyone who is interested in a career in health care. Nationally certified phlebotomists can work in multiple health care settings, including medical offices, hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.
Phlebotomists are responsible for drawing blood from a vein, usually the arm. Also called a blood draw or venipuncture, it is an important tool for diagnosing many medical conditions.
The class will run from October 8 - December 17, 2022 and January 7 - 28, 2023 on Saturdays from 9am - 4:30pm at the College of the Redwoods Del Norte instructional site. The fee is $1,995 with an option to enroll in a payment plan.
If you are interested in the course, please be sure to attend the virtual informational session on September 10 at 9am. For more information, visit Redwoods.edu/CommunityEd and select “Health Care” or call 707-476-4500
